Privacy
Last updated: August 2026 · Applies to this website, tmnetworks.gr
The short version. This site is a brochure. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no forms, no newsletter, no comments and no advertising. The only thing measured is how many people visit — and no cookie is stored on your device unless you press Accept on the banner.
Who is responsible
tmnetworks is an independent research and software lab based in Chios, Greece, and is the data controller for this website. You can reach us at [email protected].
Our applications are covered separately, because they handle data differently: for PCWattVault see its own privacy policy. In short, that app stores everything locally on your PC and has no telemetry at all.
What this website collects
Visit statistics — only if you allow them
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-3KPER9CGXP) to see how many people find the site and which pages they read. It runs in Google's Consent Mode:
- Before you answer the banner, and if you decline: no cookie and no identifier is stored on your device. Google receives an anonymous, cookieless signal that a page was viewed, which it uses to estimate overall traffic. It cannot be tied back to you or to a returning visit.
- After you accept: the cookies listed below are set, so returning visits can be recognised and the statistics become exact.
What we actually see in the reports is aggregated: pages viewed, where visitors came from, approximate country or city, and the type of device and browser. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses — the address is used momentarily to derive a coarse location and is then discarded. Google keeps the underlying data for at most 14 months.
Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, and Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive for the cookies). You can withdraw it at any time — see below.
Server logs
Like every web server, ours records each request: IP address, date and time, the URL requested, the response status, the browser's user-agent string and the referring page. These logs are used only to keep the site running and to investigate errors and abuse. They are never combined with the analytics data and are never used to profile anyone.
Logs rotate automatically by size, keeping only a small number of recent files before older ones are deleted. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Delivery network
DNS and content delivery for this domain run through Cloudflare, so requests pass through their network before reaching our server in Germany. Cloudflare processes connection data on our behalf to deliver pages and block attacks.
Cookies and local storage
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime | When |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another | 2 years | Only after you accept |
_ga_3KPER9CGXP | Google Analytics | Keeps session state for this property | 2 years | Only after you accept |
tmn-analytics(local storage, not a cookie) | This website | Remembers your answer so the banner is not shown again | Until you clear it | As soon as you answer the banner |
That is the complete list. There are no advertising, personalisation or social-media cookies, and no third-party fonts, videos or embedded widgets that could set their own.
Your choice, and how to change it
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: the button above forgets your answer and brings the banner back, so you can pick again. If you decline, no cookies are written; any that were already set expire on their own, and you can delete them at once through your browser's site-data settings.
Who else sees the data
Only Google, as the provider of Analytics, and Cloudflare, as the network in front of the site. Google may process data outside the EU; it is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection. We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or pass it to anyone else.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting what happened before.
One honest caveat: because this site has no accounts and the analytics data is aggregated and not linked to a name, we usually cannot identify you from it. In that case there is no data we can retrieve or delete on request — the only meaningful control is the consent choice above, plus clearing cookies in your browser.
Write to [email protected] with any request. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr), Kifissias 1-3, 115 23 Athens.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Nothing on this page is retroactive: a new purpose for data would need a new consent.
